Protecting Your Building
Even within buildings designed and constructed to comprise separate fire and smoke resisting compartments, may, over time, have their integrity compromised (by alterations/service penetrations - inadvertent breaches of fire barriers caused by e.g. installation of plumbing or electrical works).
Older buildings might not comply with current standards and may need their outdated or non-compliant fire protection measures identified and updated.
The Importance of Fire Compartmentation Surveys
Through a fire compartmentation survey all issues that may compromise compartmentation effectiveness are identified. Once these risks have been identified, building owners can work with passive fire specialists to rectify them.
Specialist Fire Surveyors
Our team of specialist Fire Surveyors undertake comprehensive visual inspections of existing fire compartmentation including ceilings, roof and floor voids, doors, riser cupboards and shafts. Our work is undertaken in accordance with British Standard Approved Document B.
